Central Manufacturing Technology Institute Recruitment of Apprentice Officers 2012

Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI) has the mandate to foster innovation in manufacturing technology, provide a collaborative environment for new product and process developments, develop, industry ready ‘engineering talent and service industrial aspirations in manufacturing technology advancement. It invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Apprentice Officer.

Candidates will be selected in the following disciplines:

• Civil: 10 vacancies
• Mechanical: 5 vacancies
• Electrical or Electronics: 5 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: First Class Engineering Graduates in Mechanical, Post Graduates in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Computer Science Engineering - related fields with an aggregate of not less than 65% marks in the Degree and Post Graduation.
Age Limit as on (16 January 2012): Maximum 26 years (Graduates); Maximum 28 years (Post Graduates)
Remuneration

• Apprentice Officer (APO) -Engineering Graduates- BE: Rs 25,000 for 1st year and Rs 30,000 for 2nd year.
• Apprentice Officer (APO)- Engineering- PG (ME/ M Tech): Rs 30,000

On satisfactory completion of Apprenticeship, they will be eligible for absorption as Scientist-B in the Scale of Rs 15600- 39100 with Grade Pay of Rs 5400. Post Graduates will be given two advance increments on absorption. Total emoluments, at the minimum of the scale, would be around Rs 45,000 (on successful completion of apprenticeship and on absorption).
Application Fee: A non-refundable Bank Demand Draft for Rs 300 for General & OBC category candidates and Rs 150 for SC/ ST/ Women candidates drawn in favour of CMTI, Bangalore is to be enclosed. Candidates are advised to write their name, Application Registration Reference No. and address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.
